Shipping policy
Every candle is poured and packed by hand in the United Kingdom.
Dispatch
Orders are dispatched within two working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Orders placed at the weekend are dispatched the following week.
United Kingdom
- Royal Mail 48 to 72 hours, tracked: £2.99
- Royal Mail 24 hours, tracked: £3.99
- Free tracked delivery on orders of £49.97 and over
European Union
Standard international, £14.99. Typically 5 to 10 working days once dispatched.
Rest of the world
Standard international, £23.99. Typically 10 to 15 working days once dispatched.
Delivery times are estimates given by the carrier and are not guaranteed. They start from dispatch, not from when the order is placed.
Customs, duties and taxes
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may attract import duty, VAT or customs charges on arrival. These are set by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. We cannot predict or refund them, and we cannot mark parcels as gifts.
Tracking
You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to update.
Delayed or lost parcels
Royal Mail does not treat a UK parcel as lost until 10 working days after the due date, and an international parcel until 20 working days. Once a parcel passes that point, contact us at hello@houseofborrowed.com and we will replace it or refund it.
Wrong address
Please check your delivery address at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, we will refund the order minus the delivery cost, or resend it once the correct address and postage are paid.
